I am a practicing Landscape Architect, Community Planner and Historian that has been practicing in the Atlanta area for more than 25 years. I hold multiple degrees from Auburn University including Landscape Architecture and Community Planning from the School of Architecture and Fine Arts and History with a concentration in Historic Preservation from the College of Liberal Arts. I have served as an adjunct professor to the School of Architecture at Southern Polytechnic University where I taught classes in Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture. I am also a past president of the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
I am a self-taught, part-time artist. I have deep southern roots that go back to the pre-civil war south in north Alabama. I see art in the history that surrounds me and I enjoy drawing these unique treasures. I have always enjoyed the fine art and craft of pencil drawing. I also enjoy bringing attention to sometimes forgotten pieces of history and interpreting what I see with nothing more than a number 2 pencil.
